Kathy Reep has more than three decades of leadership experience in the healthcare industry. Her hospital setting expertise is in compliance, financial advisory, reimbursement, and managed care. Kathy has helped with Medicare, Medicaid, workers’ compensation, reimbursement, and many other complex programs and issues. She is a thought leader and provider educator, helping hospitals navigate regulations and the impact of change.

Prior to joining PYA, Kathy served as Vice President of Financial Services with the Florida Hospital Association. She also held longtime hospital positions, as well as roles working in patients’ business, internal audit, systems management, diagnostic related group management, and as a reimbursement director.

Kathy received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Central Florida and her Master of Business Administration, Healthcare Focus from Rollins College. She is Co-Chair of Outpatient Workshop of the Medicare Technical Advisory Group at Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, a Board Member of the Florida Chapter of the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management, the Chairman of Statue Uniform Billing Committee, Board Member of Medical Malpractice Joint Underwriters Association, Board Member and Vice-Chair of AdventHealth Credit Union, and Adjunct Facility at Florida Advisor for University of St. Francis. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and serves as a Member Carrier Advisory Committee of First Coast Services Options – Blue Cross Blue Shield Florida.

Kathy is a recipient of the 2019 Bob Broadway Distinguished Service Award from the Florida Chapter of HFMA.

Lindsey is a Partner in EY’s Chicago Health practice. She also serves as EY’s National Health Technical Leader and representative to the AICPA’s Health Care Expert Panel. Lindsey started her professional career at EY in Indianapolis, Indiana and has over eighteen years of experience performing and managing audit services for SEC registrants, large and small community-based health providers, nonprofit, multilocation health systems, academic medical centers and other health-related organizations.

Lindsey currently serves as the coordinating partner for several health care systems, including BJC HealthCare in St. Louis, Missouri, Oak Street Health, located in Chicago, Illinois, DuPage Medical Group, located in Lombard, Illinois and Beacon Health, located in South Bend, Indiana. She has previously served Health Management Associates, an SEC registrant based out of Naples, Florida, Ascension Health, Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Indiana University Health, and Advocate Aurora Health.  In her role as the firm’s National Health Technical Leader, Lindsey assists in writing the firm’s technical publications and accounting guidance, leads frequent educational sessions for both clients and audit professionals and participates in health care and not-for-profit accounting consultations from audit teams across the country.

As the EY representative to the AICPA’s Health Care Expert Panel, Lindsey assists the AICPA in evaluating recent and upcoming standard-setting activities for applicability to the health care industry. She has presented numerous times at the AICPA National Health Care Conference and hosted various HFMA webcasts and events. She is credited for her contributions to the AICPA Audit and Accounting Guide for Health Care Entities, the annual Audit Risk Alert for Health Care Entities and other publications issued by the HFMA. Lindsey and her husband, Bill reside in Crown Point, Indiana along with their five children.

Lynda M. Dennis, CPA, PhD received her PhD in Public Affairs and her Masters in Public Administration from the University of Central Florida and her under graduate degree in accounting and finance from the University of West Florida.  She is a Florida CPA and Certified Government Finance Officer.  Lynda is a full-time Lecturer in the Kenneth Dixon School of Accounting at the University of Central Florida.  Additionally, Lynda is a contract CPE discussion leader and course developer in the areas of accounting and reporting for governmental and not-for-profit organizations. 

 

Her experience includes serving in a financial capacity, including chief financial officer, in governmental and not-for-profit organizations primarily in Florida.  Her experience also includes working as an auditor for local and Big 4 firms with an emphasis in the insurance, government and not-for-profit sectors. 

 

Lynda actively participates in committee and other volunteer work for the AICPA and FICPA and is a frequent speaker at governmental and not-for-profit accounting conferences.  She has also previously published a number of CPE courses as well as a book on strategy implementation (both for governmental and not-for-profit organizations).
